Reflective Communication Skills

As human beings, we connect with one another through the art of communication. It’s how we find our sense of belonging, foster understanding, engage in meaningful discussions, and share valuable knowledge and information. Although being an important part of our social life, it’s surprising that this essential skill often goes unnoticed or is taken for granted. The truth is, our relationships take a huge hit due to irrational communication patterns.

Dr. Pallavi Bhurkay, a renowned and best-selling author of the transformative book, “Reflections: A Journey of Conscious Communication Towards Emotional Wellness,” invites you to embark on a profound one-day workshop.

In this fun and introspective experience, you’ll join Dr. Bhurkay in exploring the depths of your communication patterns. Through engaging activities and heartfelt discussions, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how these patterns are closely linked to irrational beliefs. These beliefs often lead to faulty coping mechanisms, robbing us of joy and happiness.

The journey through this workshop promises more than just awareness; it’s a path to transformation. By comprehending these common patterns and recognizing their consequences, you’ll unlock the power to change your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Life then transforms and becomes magical.

Spiritual Parenting

Becoming a parent is a choice that is a psychospiritual experience. We make a choice to bring or nurture a life with our conditioning, wanting to be the best providers and nurturers to them. They in turn may carry our values and virtues further into their lives as they grow up. We call these ‘little angels’, children who brighten up our lives and bring additional meaning to it.

As children grow, they often develop mindsets that may differ significantly from those of their parents. This divergence can sometimes leave parents feeling restricted, frustrated, angry, and perplexed. They may grapple with questions such as, “How should I raise this child effectively?” or “What approaches can I employ to nurture this child into the best version of themselves?” Parents might also wonder whether their values are being received positively and contemplate which disciplinary techniques are most appropriate and when to implement them.

Our team at A2W brings an unique training program about parenting skills with different topics that define our relationship with our children. This training will include several topics such as- Advanced Empathy, Academic Excellence, Boundaries, Communication Skills- how to talk so children will listen and listen so they will talk, Managing Social Skills, Talking about sex, datings, hookups and safety, Befriending my Teenager and Theory of Mind.

Theory of the Mind

The mind has always intrigued us with the mysterious ways it presents the choices and outcomes of our beliefs and conclusions. Very common understanding of the types of mind are conscious and unconscious or subconscious.
The theory of the Mind is a workshop devised for individuals who are seekers and would like to understand scientifically how the mind works, and helps us make meaning of our environment and interactions with others.
Once we understand how the mind works, we have a clear understanding of our personality, its patterns and how these patterns are formed and maintained to achieve an outcome of peace, happiness and harmony. We then have a choice to respond differently to situations, thus empowering us in our lives daily by changing our personality patterns which are not working for us.

Mind Metaphor

Our personality patterns are reflected in our interactions with the environment as an outcome of the beliefs and representations of the mind.
The mind represents itself metaphorically through our actions, words, choice of colors and the ways we draw images.
Mind Metaphor is a 2 day workshop which helps people who are in the service industry to understand in a simple manner, the challenges, limitations a person experiences in day to day life.
This training can be valuable for a wide range of individuals, including teachers, social workers, coaches, HR professionals, and anyone else who engages with individuals, be they children or adults.

Psychology of Disease

Everything that is a physical reality once was a thought; either conscious or unconscious. Our reality either stems from fears or wants. Our thoughts are recorded in our unconscious mind as a possibility. To this we attach an emotion either of fear, not wanting the thought to become a reality or of wants, wishing for the thought to manifest into reality.
The thought along with emotion then begins to interact with our energy either expanding or diminishing the possibility of the thought to become our physical reality through the electric impulses our brain sends into the body.
Similarly when we look at any disease- it is “ dis-ease” in either thought, emotion or sensation. Disease of thought can be seen in people who may shudder from neurosis, overthinking, psychosis which may cause psychological disorders.
Disease of emotions can be seen in people who may have difficulty in processing, perceiving and working through emotions causing intrapersonal or interpersonal conflict.
Disease of sensation can be seen in people who may have difficulty in comprehending and perceiving the sensations in the body which leads to physical ailments.

In any thought process:

  • Thoughts- Words ( self talk which is reinforcing) – Action ( acting on the self talk)- Action- Habit- Reality

This process works at a subconscious level defining our reality.

“ Psychology of Disease” is a workshop that helps clients understand the psychology of physical ailments and work through their thoughts, emotions and energy that causes the disease.

Karma Management

Humans are very curious and are often seeking knowledge and understanding of concepts that arouse our curiosity. Karma is one such concept that has been carved by religious books, gurus, and some preachers as something that we should fear, and has severe consequences if we walk that path.

At A2w we believe that people always fear the unknown, the stronger the fear the more we avoid befriending it.

We invite you to an exciting, fun filled one day workshop, “ Demystifying Karma” where we make an attempt to simplify the understanding of :

And many such questions in a psycho- spiritual approach.

Unblocking Abundance

Abundance is an emotional/ psychological/ spiritual experience of having limitless of anything we as humans need for our lives. People feel limited in only 2 areas of their life- namely love and money.

We were born to live abundantly at birth but slowly begin to feel limited in our experience of it, due to our acceptance of conscious and unconscious conditioning that happened with us. These blocks of abundance may seem to stem from an Inner Child; a belief picked up in our childhood from significant others in our formative years or an ancestral belief which may stem from beliefs which run in a family and prime our experiences or from a past life which may be deep rooted beliefs coming from some karmic baggage which may be ready for liberation.

Unlocking Abundance is a 3 day workshop which helps individuals understand and heal their blocks to their abundance; to set themselves and their future generations free from these perceived blocks.

Boundaries

Have you ever felt pressured to say ‘yes’ when you wanted to say ‘no’? Do people upset you?
Do you feel taken for granted? Do you feel restricted in certain areas of your life?

Boundaries are a code of behavior, conduct, social norm defined by us for ourselves and our social acceptance. In our formative years our families and socializing agents ( people who have the power/ ability to socially condition us) teach us behaviors for our survival and acceptance in our adult life that are necessary according to the social, economic, educational and religious background of the family in which the individual is born.

Later as these individuals step into their teens, they evaluate these beliefs and discard, modify, realign and assimilate to suit their new life as an adult. This process of realigning our beliefs also affects the ways individuals may draw boundaries with self and others. These often do work for us, however at times, these boundaries may be crossed by situational demands or interactions with others making us feel violated or disrespected.

In this half day workshop, Pallavi Bhurkay not only believes in creating awareness of the existing boundaries by recognising them but also looking at factors that maintain them and the cognitions that restrict them encouraging individuals to lead an empowered life.

Inner Child Healing

Humans are born whole and complete and live life on their terms until conditioned by significant adults to fit into the society based on the rules from their SEER ( Socio- economic- educational and religious background). Conditioning is important and necessary as we all are social beings and seek acceptance/ belonging in groups. However in the process of being conditioned in our childhood we are not inclusive in our thoughts and actions so we begin to lose empowered parts of us which were reprimanded for their actions then, losing a part of us. This begins to limit our possibilities as adults.

Inner Child integration is a deep, intense, healing 3 days workshop where individuals become aware of their parts and integrate them becoming whole and complete again.
